The short version

Your text never leaves your browser. Notion Formatter processes everything client-side — we don't see, store, or transmit anything you paste. If you sign in, we store only your email and name for authentication. That's it.

What we collect

Document content

Nothing. All formatting runs in your browser via JavaScript. We have no access to your text.

Account info

Email address and display name (from Google OAuth or email/password). Stored in Turso/libSQL for authentication.

Analytics

We use Plausible — no cookies, no personal data. Just anonymous page view counts and rough country-level location. No user tracking or profiling.

Cookies and local storage

  • Session cookie— set only if you sign in, to keep you logged in. Essential, can't be disabled without logging out.
  • Theme preference (nf-theme) — stored in local storage so your light/dark choice persists.
  • That's it. No tracking cookies, no ad cookies, no third-party cookies.

How we protect data

  • HTTPS/TLS on all connections
  • Passwords hashed (never stored in plain text)
  • Your document content never touches our servers
  • Database encrypted at rest (Turso)
